Vibe Ride Community Guidelines
Vibe Ride is a Los Angeles Skate Community that welcomes everyone, regardless of skill level, age, gender, or background. All Wheels are Welcome! We encourage others to join our community where we foster a sense of belonging and connection by celebrating and sharing our collective experience of all things skate!
Community Guideline Goals
Display respectful exchanges. Members should foster courtesy and respect, ensuring that dialogues remain polite and constructive - avoiding insults, harassment, or demeaning language. Communication and behavior are free from hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or disability.
Promote a positive community. Members should encourage constructive engagement and strive to uplift others within the community. Speech regarding people, events and issues should be accurate, truthful, and necessary. Maintain focus and relevancy by ensuring conversations regarding potential conflicts stay concentrated on-topic, helping members understand relevant information.
Help in conflict resolution. Members should resolve disagreements and misunderstandings within the community to promote unity. If a member feels hurt or disrespected by behavior within the community, they are encouraged to speak with that person privately, or contact an individual on the leadership team directly or anonymously via our feedback form.
Uphold diversity and inclusivity. Members should support respect and awareness of diverse perspectives to help build an inclusive environment. All members deserve to respectfully share their thoughts and ideas in our community.
Practice self-moderation and awareness. Members are encouraged to self-moderate their behavior, reducing the reliance on formal moderation. We do not encourage putting other community members at risk via harmful activities, challenges, or use of substances at our events.
Curate a safe digital space. Members are expected to respect the privacy of others - do not share information about another skater (residential addresses, or other sensitive identifying information) without consent. We encourage private event details to be shared directly to individuals — for instance, we do not encourage posting a home address publicly in our chats!
Curate a safe in-person space. Members are expected to respect and adhere to all physical boundaries that have expressed by another community member.
Vibe Ride has a Zero-Tolerance Policy for…
Physical, Verbal, or Digital Harassment and Abuse
